Policies

My relationship with my clients is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect.

As a condition of working with me, all clients agree to the policies below. If you don't support any of my policies, please refrain from scheduling an appointment.

Privacy Policy

Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete a confidential health history form. This form must be updated at any time there are significant changes to your health history (ex. surgery, major illness).

The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care.

Cancelation Policy

As a sole practitioner, 100% of my income comes from my valued clients (that's you!).

When you cancel on short notice, my livelihood is jeopardized. You're also taking an appointment away from someone else who could benefit from my care. I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life but I need to remain effective and fair to all clients.

I have a strict 24-hour cancelation policy. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, for any reason, the card on file will be charged for the full treatment cost. If you fill your spot, I'll waive the fee. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, I will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to me and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.

Think of your massage like a ticket to a concert or game. If you can’t make it, you either send a friend in your place or absorb the cost.

It's not a punishment; it's protection of my most valuable resource—my time.

The good news? I honor my policy in reverse! If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next massage is free. I value your time and require the same in kind.

Thank you for your support.

Appointment Times

Please note that the time you have booked is the length of your entire appointment, not the hands-on massage time.

At your first visit, I conduct a thorough intake interview where I cover your health history and your goals. I provide a detailed description of my treatment plan so there are never any surprises during your massage. I obtain verbal and written consent. Orthopedic assessments may be required to provide a safe and effective treatment.

I do my best to maximize your hands-on time, but please be aware that it is rarely the full length of the appointment time. You should expect up to 20 minutes for the intake interview at your first visit.

Want more time? I don't blame you! I always recommend booking at least 90 minutes.

Refusal of Service

For safety purposes, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

intoxication

derogatory or bigoted comments

sexual or romantic advances

illness or infectious conditions

contagious or unidentified skin conditions (ex. rashes, warts, mysterious bug bites)

If you develop a skin condition, please clear it with your doctor before receiving massage. If you exhibit any of the aforementioned conditions or behaviors, you'll be denied treatment and charged for the appointment.
