Feeling unfulfilled working downtown at my office job, I decided to make a career change. My stress levels were high and I had daily headaches that couldn't be tamed. I wanted a career to follow my passion for helping people, so I went back to school to become a Massage Therapist. I began practicing massage therapy in 2008 after after graduating from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy.
Each treatment that I give is individually designed based off of the information I am given through communication and what I discover through palpation of the tissue. I am passionate about working with the connective tissue layer called fascia. Without this layer, fluid movement wouldn't be possible. It deserves a lot more of our time and respect. The treatments I provide may include John F Barnes Myofacial Release and Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy.
Each situation is looked at individually. Your goals are paramount. Together, we can devise a treatment plan to improve the quality of your life based off of the information I am given through communication and what I discover through palpation of the tissue.
Hippocrates said, "Anyone wishing to study medicine must master the art of massage."
I love to learning about the human body and how to better treat tissue issues! That is why I spend extensive time studying and practicing new skills to help my clients.
The treatments I provide are aimed at helping increase your mobility and range of motion while lessening pain and increasing an overall sense of relaxation and wellbeing. As a certified yoga teacher, I'm also happy to help you with stretching recommendations for aftercare. When I feel like my client may need more care than massage, I am happy to recommend other health care professionals I trust in.
It is my mission to give you the tools to succeed on your own path of self discovery. Let the journey begin!
